Signs and symptoms of colic
You may be dealing with colic if:
- your child cries continuously, stopping only when completely exhausted.
- infant appears to be in great pain, yet there is no sign of injury or sickness.
- baby's knees are pulled right up to its abdomen or its legs are held rigidly out. The stomach may be hard to the touch.
- the child cannot be quieted with a feeding or a change of diapers.
- despite the incessant crying, the child feeds well and is gaining weight.
